Take action in Shoalhaven

In 2022, the New South Wales (NSW) Government introduced agritourism reforms to give eligible working farms the right to welcome guests, such as campers.

These reforms are an invitation to farmers across NSW to diversify their income and future-proof their businesses.

To provide a level playing field and consistency across NSW, the agritourism reforms apply in all local government areas. They provide clear conditions that are easy to understand and follow.

Unfortunately, Shoalhaven City Council does not support the agritourism reforms and has passed motions in an attempt to stop farmers from welcoming guests.

Shoalhaven landowners and farmers seeking to diversify their income by creating new places to stay outside have been left confused and unsure what they can and can't do.

We need landowners and campers like you, to show your support for the agritourism reforms and the right of landowners to welcome guests.
