Lismore City Council invites Hosts and campers to help shape a new tourism strategy
Lismore City Council has committed to reinvigorating tourism and released a survey asking for input from the broader Lismore, Nimbin and surrounding villages.
The survey will help the Council to develop a new Destination Management and Visitor Economy Strategy that will guide what actions the region will take to attract and retain visitors.
The Strategy will also identify priorities for improving or creating new tourism attractions, which could include new camping opportunities on private land.
Surveys like this provide a valuable opportunity for Hosts and campers to tell the Council how important it is to enable camping on private land.
It is a chance to ask the Council to include actions that will make it easier to welcome guests, and explain why this will help drive tourism expenditure across the region.
For Hosts, property owners and representatives from the wider tourism industry, please complete the industry survey, available here.
For campers, previous or potential visitors to Lismore, Nimbin and surrounding villages, please complet the visitor survey, available here.
The surveys are now open and close 26 May, 2023.
Please take a moment to complete the survey and express your views about the Strategy and the actions that should be included.
