Destination Riverina Murray invites local Hosts to workshop the region's first Agritourism Strategy
Agritourism is gaining momentum as a powerful opportunity for farmers and regional communities to diversify their income and secure their future. To help harness the benefits of agritourism, some regional councils and destination management organisations are now creating new agritourism strategies.
Destination Riverina Murray is developing an Agritourism Strategy to support the development of agritourism across the region. They hope the new Agritourism Strategy will enable farmers, tourism operators, and the wider community to harness the Riverina Murray's unique agricultural and tourism assets, for further economic success.
Strategies like this usually set a goal or vision for the future and point to the actions needed to achieve it. It helps to organise different people and organisations, and focuses funding and effort in the same direction. That's why the input of farmers and property owners, such as Hipcamp Hosts, is so important to getting this right!
Destination Riverina Murry invites members of the public, including local farmers and property owners, to attend an in-person workshop aimed at gathering input and feedback.
Please register now by selecting a workshop closest to you here.
Your participation will help ensure the Agritourism Strategy aligns with your needs and aspirations, such as reducing barriers to private land camping and support for farmers and landowners to welcome guests.
