California Senate Committee Approves New Camping Rules
Send an email thanking the CA Senate Housing Committee today!
Exciting news! Thanks in large part to your letters of support, California’s Senate Bill 620 (low-impact camping) passed out of the Senate Housing Committee earlier this week with unanimous and bipartisan support. There were no questions and no concerns, and the Committee Chair added emphatic support for this “common sense bill”.
This is a major milestone towards making it easier for low-impact camping hosts in California to welcome campers. You'll recall that Senate Bill 620 would remove red tape for creating and operating small camping areas.
The next committee hearing will happen in the coming few weeks, and we will be sure to share information on any advocacy opportunities.
For now, take a moment to thank the Committee members who voted in support of low-impact camping! Click the "thank the committee" button above, then click "message" to email these committee members.
